Our restaurant in the Allgäu: regional & delicious
We cook according to the aforementioned motto at Sontheim’s.
The majority of our food is locally sourced. The meat comes exclusively from our region and Upper Swabia. We get it from the Buchmann company in Grünkraut near Ravensburg.
The company Frucht Jork from Isny supplies us with fruits and vegetables.
Our cheese specialties come from the Bergwies organic cheese dairy in Maierhöfen.
We offer our organic game from our own rearing directly at the hotel, where you can experience the animals for yourself.
Since we stand by our region and its producers and products, we are a member of the LandZunge project.
Festivities and family celebrations
Are you looking for space for your party?
Our “Stüble in Altholz” is ideal for smaller celebrations of up to 23 people. If you are expecting a bigger group our restaurant offers up space for up to 60 people.
We are happy to organize everything according to your wishes and thus ensure a successful celebration all round.

The LandZunge was founded as a campaign for gourmets and indicates that this restaurant in the Allgäu is only serving the highest quality foods from local farmers.
That means: fine meat from free-range cattle, for example – from happy animals that are kept free. Or the mountain cheese from happy cows and tasty vegetables and fruits from here. We try to buy as many products as possible directly from the farmer, the hunter, the butcher – from our partners in the industry.
And everything is delivered as quickly as possible: it couldn’t be fresher!
